Afro-Asiatic

Afro-Asiatic, formerly known as Hamito-Semitic, is a family of languages spoken in North Africa and the Middle East. Ancient Egyptian was also a part of this family.

Afro-Asiatic family of languages are divided in following five groups -

Semitic, Omotic, Berber, Cushitic, and Chadic.
