Amosite

Amosite is a mineral. It is an iron-rich amphibole asbestos. The initial letters of (A)sbestos (M)ines (o)f (S)outh-Africa formed the word amos and was suffixed by ite to form amosite. Obviously, amosite is mined in South Africa.
