Anchieta

Anchieta (1534-1597), full name José de Anchieta y Díaz de Clavijo, was a Portuguese Jesuit, born at Teneriffe in Spain. He was Jesuit missionary to the Portuguese colony of Brazil. He is called the Apostle of the New World.
