Association

Association, literally 'uniting in a common purpose', is an organized group of people for common purposes, and typically named as such. In ecology, it is a plant community defined by a characteristic group of the dominant species. Association is also a connection with other people or organizations, or mental connection between ideas or things or making one with something. However, in chemistry, it is the bonding of molecules of a liquid held together by hydrogen bonding or other weak interaction falling short of full bond formation. The co-occurrence is also called association, such as found in cases of cancer and colitis.
