Battle of Bannockburn
Battle of Bannockburn was a battle that took place in Bannockburn village near Stirling in central Scotland in 1314 between England and Scotland. English army of Edward II was advancing to break the siege of Stirling Castle, but were defeated by the Scots under Robert the Bruce on June 24, 1314. The victory of the Scots reasserted and secured Scottish independence.Nearby pages
