Core Holding

Core holding is a term in finance for some type of investments, particularly those which are made with the express intention of permanently remaining a part of the investment portfolio, or for a considerably long time. Such investments form core of the portfolio, hence the name. It is expected consistently profitable and substantial. It is also sometimes referred to as long-term holding.
