House Call

House call, also margin call, is a term in finance used chiefly in stock market for a notification by a brokerage house that says that the customer's equity in a margin account has fallen below the maintenance requirement level. After the notification, the client is required to deposit the required amount of fund or security into the account in question to avoid its liquidation.
