IPv4
IPv4 is a version of Internet Protocol. It is the version 4, which was developed in the early 1980s. It has capacity of just over four billion IP addresses, almost all of which have now been allocated to Internet service providers and users. An IPv4 address uses maximum 12 digits with dots in between maximum three, such as xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx. It should be noted that it is a number protocol, and hence digits are allowed as we write numbers in a group of three, such as 011 is not allowed and therefore we write simply 11, omitting 0.Nearby pages
