Isthmus of Perekop

Isthmus of Perekop, is a narrow strip of land, having width in the range of 5-7 km. It connects the Crimea with to the mainland of Ukraine. It is pierced by a ship-canal. The isthmus projects between the Black Sea to the west and the Syvash to the east.
