Kerala Vidhan Sabha Election 2026

Kerala Vidhan Sabha Election 2026 was announced by the Election Commission of India on March 15, 2026. The term of the Kerala Legislative Assembly is to expire on 23.05.2026. Election will be held for all 140 seats out of which 14 are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) and 2 for Scheduled Tribe (ST). Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls was conducted with reference to 01.01.2026. Final electoral roll was published on 21.02.2026. Total number of electors were 2,71,06,059 out of which 2,70,52,007 were general electors and 54,052 were service voters. Number of young electors of 18-19 years of age were 4,24,518. Number of PwD electors were 2,44,250, Third Gender 273 and senior citizens of over 85 years were 2,04,317. Number of polling stations were increased to 30,471 as against 25,231 in the Lok Sabha Election 2024.
