Leonardo Bruni

Leonardo Bruni (1369-1444) was an Italian humanist, born at Arezzo, hence called Aretino. He was papal secretary. He settled in Florence, and wrote a history of it. He did much by his translations of Greek authors to promote the study of Greek.
