Married Put

Married put is a term in finance for the purchase of a stock with accompanying put option to protect against a price fall. Under put options, investors can sell their stocks at a prearranged locked in sales price on a given date of expiration, in case value of the stocks decline, and can hold them for sale on a later date when the value rise past the put option price.
