Mismatch

Mismatch is a phenomenon when one set of things do not match the other requirement. For example, when the skills available in the job market falls short of the required level of skills in the industrial employment, we call skills mismatch.

We can take another example from finance and banking. Mismatch occurs when interests on assets do not balance the interests that must be paid on liabilities.
