Rig-Veda

Rig-Veda is anglicized name for Rigved. The name of the oldest scripture in Hinduism is Rik, when compounded with another term Veda, it becomes Rigveda, according to a rule of Sanskrit grammar. Aglicised version with hyphen "Rig-Veda" is a temporary compound while Rigveda is a permanent compound, according to the rule of English grammar.
