Salt Range

Salt Range is a tract of lofty tableland in Pakistan, buttressed on either side by mountain ranges 3000 to 5000 ft. high, and stretching across the Punjab East and West, between Jhelum and Indus Rivers. It derives its name from the remarkably rich deposits of rock-salt, which are extensively worked.
