Scone

Scone (pronounced Scoon) was a village in Perthshire in Scotland on the left bank of the Tay, 2 miles North of Perth. It was once the capital of the Pictish kingdom, and the place of the coronation of the Scottish kings. Near it was the seat of the Earl of Mansfield. The village has now grew up to into a town and is in the council area of Perth and Kinross.
