Sher Ali

Sher Ali was a freedom fighter of India, who was sentenced to undergo life imprisonment during the Wahabi movement against the British Raj. He assassinated Lord Mayo, Viceroy of India with a knife on 8th of February, 1872. He was hanged on Viper Island now in the Union Territory of Andaman and Nocobar Island.
