Siddhu-Kanhu Park

Siddhu-Kanhu Park is situated in Pakur district town of Jharkhand state in India. Here stands the Martello tower, built by the British rulers of Pakur to defend their Raj here from the onslaughts of Santal warriors. Siddhu and Kanhu were the leaders of the Santal Hul, the rebellion of Santals. They were the initiators of the Hul which was targetted not only against Britishers but also against the local rulers, landlords, and moneylenders.
