Spatial framework

Spatial framework is a combination of datum, projection and bounding limits definition (with assessment of accuracy) – that allows the easy and accurate registration, transformation and visualization of the spatial information in the repository. In its simplest form, any spatial framework would be a frame of geographical coordinates with link points aimed at providing an invariant reference for all spatial data sets.
