The Porch
The Porch is the name given to the school of Zeno (c. 334 – c. 262 BC), so called from the Arcade in Athens, in which he taught his philosophy, a "many-coloured portico," as decorated with the paintings of Polygnotus (fl. mid-5th century BC).Nearby pages
