Worship is a feeling of love, respect and admiration to god. There are many rituals for worship.
In Indian tradition, there are sixteen modes of worship prescribed for a devotee to be offered to god.
1. Asan (seat)
2. Padya (water for washing the feet)
3. Arghya (water for washing the hands)
4. Achamaniya (water to drink)
5. Snaniya (water for ablution)
6. Gandha (sandal-paste)
7. Vastra (raiment)
8. Pushpa (flowers)
9. Dhup (burning incense)
10. Dip (light)
11. Naivedya (food)
12. Achamaniya (water for rinsing the mouth)
13. Tambula (betel leaves)
14. Dakshina (a gift in cash)
15. Pradakshina (circumambulation), and
16. Nirajana (waving lights)
