William Ellis

William Ellis (1794-1872) was an English missionary and author, born in London. He laboured in the South Sea Islands, and afterwards in Madagascar. He wrote various works descriptive of these islands. He married Sarah Stickney, who is the authoress of a number of popular works, including "The Women of England," "The Daughters of England," &c.
